years have passed since "The Fermi-Fall" event ushered in a new age on planet Earth. Giant creatures waltz across the horizon and fuzzy, house-sized spores bounce around like tumbleweeds, terraforming nearby suburbs into colossal alien forests. The earth we knew is out, and what’s left is a completely new reality... The old world is gone. long live whatever the heck this is!
But craziness aside, artificial stability was achieved behind the walls of the heavily fortified CenturiCity. This is a last Bastion for our version of humanity. The city is an idealistic time capsule, protected by a Aesthetic façade, tons of ridiculous propaganda, and an army of giant battle-mechs to keep people… uh…safe? This walled fortress is where old school human civilization is MOSTLY shielded from the weirdness that is slowly creeping its way through growing cracks in the city walls.
For the Shin family the REAL challenge is living through the craziness that fills their day to day without losing their minds (or anything else) in the process.
With Kay drinking the city’s koolaid, Zee spitting it, out and Norman lamenting on how “Kool Aid was better back in the day”, Growing up in a fake utopian bubble in the middle of a world they no longer recognize can get a bit confusing for the Shins…
...Maybe if the family choose to embrace the winds of change, they may one day create a better future for themselves and inspire the rest of humanity ALONG THE WAY…
